Nestled in the gentle rolling hills of the Steenkampsberg lies Willow Creek Trout and Nature Reserve. This farm is an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts, birders, keen fly-fishermen and is a pet friendly farm. There are 3 well-stocked on-site dams and tranquil surroundings make this 242-hectare property unique.

Mpumalanga is a nature lover's paradise. Whether summer or winter you can enjoy the outdoor activities - bird watching, fly-fishing, mountain biking - or just relax with a good book! In winter, finish your long misty walk with a glass of red wine in front of a roaring fireplace - your perfect wintertime weekend getaway.

Willow Creek Trout and Nature Reserve has 2 self-catering holiday cottages. The names of the self-catering cottages are inspired by the beautiful bird life in the area. The Steenkampsberg mountains of Mpumalanga have a unique microclimate, which make them a home to bird species not seen elsewhere in South Africa.

Willow Creek Trout & Nature Reserve is situated in Mpumalanga approx. 40 km from Dullstroom. Willow Creek is only 300kms from Johannesburg and 250kms from Pretoria, making it an ideal weekend getaway. The high altitude of the farm, proximity to the Waterfalls River, well-stocked dams and tranquil surroundings, make Willow Creek something unique.

Loeries Loft 
This log home is private and overlooks a fishing dam. The chalet is furnished with solid teak (sleeper wood) furniture throughout.

Kingfisher's Cove
Elegantly decorated and furnished. This modern, newly renovated farmhouse is situated close to one of the fishing dams. A covered veranda (patio) spans two sides of the house, providing a relaxing place to sit and enjoy endless views of the farm and lake.

The beds can all be separated in both houses. Therefore, we can very comfortably house 8 men or women sleeping in their own beds in any of the homes.

Willow Creek Pub is situated at reception and is available to all guests who want to watch their favourite sport or soapies on the flat screen TV. A cash bar is also available.
Activities include Fishing / walking trails / mountain biking / indigenous vegetation, game & birding.

Pets allowed. Daily rate per pet. Please bring own bedding for your pets. Pets NOT allowed on the furniture.
