Accommodation Details:

  • 5 x Cottages:

Owner Greg Williams is an enthusiastic Fly-fisherman and takes offence if fish are NOT caught in his dams. His lodge has established itself as a reputable fishing destination.

 

The farm is situated just 9km from Dullstroom on the Tonteldoos road, and not only boasts excellent fishing waters for the ardent fisherman, but also one of the most stunning waterfalls in the area. The property is also home to some endangered bird species, a variety of grazing game and offers some lovely hiking trails.

  • Fishing Cottages:

The two stone cottages overlook beautiful dams & scenery allowing separate parties enough privacy yet situated close enough for 1 party to book both units.

Each cottage consists of the following living and entertainment features.

1x twin bedded room, 1 x double room and loft with 3 single beds 

2 full bathrooms downstairs with bath and shower.

Open-plan, well equipped kitchen/living area with fireplace opening onto veranda with braai area. 

Fishing: 1 dam at the two cottages, a trophy dam, a large weir and 4km of the Witpoort river. It should however be noted that spawning season is from May - September and the rivers will not be available for fishing during that time.

  • The Lodge:

This typical Dullstroom styled double storey stone cladded main house is well placed with lovely views over a large, manicured lawn, leading onto two well stocked weirs approx. 350m from the house. The Lodge is totally separated from the cottages offering guests privacy. Should groups book the whole premises, there is enough entertainment room to accommodate larger parties.

(One of which is an ideal family room with a double leading onto a separate twin room and b.e.s).

3 twin bedrooms. 

4 bathrooms (2 en suite).

There are 2 reception rooms and a well-equipped kitchen. 

 A covered braai area offers magnificent views over a private, well stocked weir. 

Open-plan living area with large open fireplace and dining area for 10. The Lodge also offers an upstairs entertainment area which includes bar, TV and snooker table. Bring a decoder and card (not Explora/PVR). A sleeper couch is available to accommodate 2 small children. 

 

  • The Nest:

The Nest is a cozy 1-bedroom en suite cottage that sleeps 2 people (couple or 2 single sharing). 

 In addition, a double sleeper couch in the lounge caters for an additional 2 children if necessary. 

This is a pet friendly unit

  • The Farmstead:

The Farmstead has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms sleeping up to 6 people. 

An open plan kitchen / dining area overlooks a covered back veranda. 

The lounge has TV (Bring a decoder and card (not Explora/PVR) and a fireplace opening onto a large, covered veranda with a braai area, which overlooks the old orchard and the valleys and hills beyond. 

The Farmstead is the original homestead of the farm which has recently been renovated.

This is a pet friendly unit

  • Special features:

Beautiful waterfall with picnic area and swimming.

4 springs start on the farm and flow into the river (4km) - rest of the water comes from Millstream.

Firewood can be purchased at the venue.

  • Fishing:

Please note this is a Fly-fishing area and no spinners or lures are permitted.

Please ask about hiring rods beforehand as there are none on the property.

It should be noted that the fee was put into place to cover some of the returned fish that do not survive after being incorrectly handled by inexperienced anglers.

  • Clay Pigeon shooting: A shooting range is available for guests who pre book.
