Canyon Cottage @ Walkersons

Comfortable self-catering accommodation in a tastefully furnished holiday home. Situated in the exclusive and secure Walkersons Private Estate, 10 km east of Dullstroom. This characterful self-catering holiday home is one of the original 'fisherman's cottages' built on the estate and is hidden in the upper reaches of a beautiful gorge and set amid tall trees directly on the river.

The living area is comfortable and inviting. Featuring an open-plan dining room (10-seater dining table), lounge, with fireplace, TV & DSTV (selected channels) and kitchen. The covered patio features a free-standing braai and side deck, overhanging the water. Complimentary wood & firelighters. Firepit.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, an oven and stove, and a microwave, as well as a dishwasher and a tumble dryer for convenience.

The cottage comprises 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and accommodates up to 10 guests. 

Bedroom 1: Queen bed, en-suite bathroom with bath & shower

Bedroom 2: Twin beds, en-suite bathroom with shower

Bedroom 3: Twin beds, shared bathroom with bath

Bedroom 4: King bed, shared bathroom with bath

Bedroom 5: King bed, en-suite bathroom with bath & shower (situated separately from the main house with its own entrance)

A private walkway through a mystical forest area leads to a beautiful picnic spot beside a waterfall. Unwind as you breathe in the fresh country air and allow the frequency of nature to captivate your senses.

Activities in the area include walking, hiking, horse riding, game and bird watching, mountain biking, picnicking and fly fishing. Guests can book spa treatments and/or dine at the exclusive Walkerson’s Hotel.

The Estate is 24-hour access-controlled with patrol routes and other security measures in place to ensure peace of mind for our residents and visitors.

Have your driving license or identity card and booking confirmation available upon arrival at the Walkersons Private Estate main gate.

No pets (animals of any kind) are allowed at the Canyon Cottage or on the Estate

On acceptance of the booking guests acknowledge and agree to comply with and be bound by the Walkersons Estate Rules.

No fishing is permitted on the Estate without the required permits. 4 x dam fishing permits are provided. Additional permits and special river fishing permits can be purchased from Estate Management at R200 per permit. Any lost permits will be charged at R200 per permit. Please carry your fishing permit with you at all times when fishing on the Estate.
